Prevention Training
Scholarship Opportunity
Overview
Do you want to help create a brighter future for youth in your community?
Apply for a Prevention Training Scholarship and receive up to $1,000 to attend training sessions focused on mental health and substance use prevention.
Through grant funding secured from Southwest Accountable Communities of Health (SWACH) and Washington State Department of Health (WADOH), Prevent Coalition is offering training scholarships for rural communities in Washington. The intention for these scholarships is to expand access to prevention education and to equip adults with the skills and knowledge needed to create supportive environments for young people. Scholarships may fund participation in local, state, or national training courses and certifications (in-person or virtual). Training and certifications must focus on mental health and/or substance use prevention.

What does it cover?
Each successful applicant may receive up to $1,000 to attend trainings and obtain certifications that focus on mental health and/or substance use prevention. Local training opportunities are encouraged. For trainings that are not local, funds can be used for registration, travel costs (per diem rates required), and lodging. Scroll down this page for a list of upcoming training opportunities.
