Prevent Coalition is a local youth substance use prevention coalition working for a healthy, thriving, and substance-free SW Washington Region including Clark, Klickitat and Skamania counties.
Prevent Coalition has been connecting and supporting communities since 2003. Efforts are funded by multiple state and federal grants, made possible by diverse community members like you.

Unwanted medications can be disposed of year-round at several collection sites across Clark County.
Events & Training
Drug Take Back Committee
Meets as needed in advance of the annual April and October National DEA Drug Take-Back Events. The committee helps implement our opioid prevention grant by planning and hosting disposal sites accepting unused, expired and unwanted prescription or over-the-counter medications for safe, free disposal in Clark, Skamania and Klickitat counties. Youth Empowerment Project
Our YouthxAdult Committee. Formerly the “Youth Substance Abuse Prevention Committee,” our youth coalition and youth-serving committees merged to make this project committee. Meets the third Tuesday monthly from 3:30-5pm to connect, partner, and implement youth-informed and community-driven prevention projects. From 2:30-3:30pm there is a new member orientation. Drop in! Youth, parents, educators, youth-serving organizations and more get updates on the latest prevention science and news, work on projects such as responsible retailers guidelines, cannabis point of purchase campaigns and more. Prevent Steering Committee
Got event planning skills? Join our working leadership committee, meeting on a quarterly basis, who helps guide the strategic prevention work of Prevent Coalition within Clark County.Plan and promote the quarterly coalition events, conduct outreach to bring members and partners to the coalition and represent Prevent at community events or presentations.
